ABOUT US
The Creative Research Lab (CRL) is located within Forbes Hall in the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences, at Christopher Newport University. Directed by Dr. Gayle T Dow, our team of researchers conduct empirical research on creativity and related topics (malevolent creativity, innovation, problem solving gifted education)
Currently we have two main areas of focus:
1) methods to increase creativity which include insight, problem solving training, and the impact of art and music programs on divergent thinking;
2) the dark side of creativity which includes malevolent creativity, cryptomnesia of creative ideas, and schadenfreude.
